AlUla Zip Line
About the Project
In 2019 Warrior Group was tasked by the Royal Commission for AlUla to design, build and operate a temporary zip line on Harrat mountain. Based on the success of the project we were invited back to develop an iconic zipline with expanded features.
Our design had to include operating infrastructure and facilities, as well as a customized coffee shop, customer experience center, and a large viewing deck. It was important to the client that the design was not only iconic but stayed within the AlUla design guidelines and was harmonious with the surrounding volcanic rock and nature. Our approach was to design an experience that delivered on all aspects while insuring minimal environmental impact.
Access to the location was challenging and therefore our team needed to develop design and build solutions, with all structural components being customized and unique.
State of the art equipment was used for the technical components of the experience, from hydraulic launch platforms and leading braking systems to the purpose-built harnesses. One of our core believes is to ignite very community we touch. As part of those efforts we have used local suppliers for this project. We went beyond our mandate by hiring local staff and providing them with adventure experience and technical know-how.
We are excited to announce the continuation of the Al Ula Zipline operation trough-out 2021/2022 season.
